Heroes of the Great Republic (1892) – Walter Scott (Yes, that Walter Scott… maybe)
Sold by Crappy Old Books – because someone’s gotta do it

March proudly through the yellowed pages of Heroes of the Great Republic, a rousing (and possibly confused) tribute to brave souls from the early days of the United States — penned by Walter Scott (or at least someone with his name). Is it the legendary Scottish novelist dabbling in American patriotism posthumously? Or just a namesake with a flair for flowery prose and heroic yarns? Who knows! What we do know is that this 1892 relic is stuffed with gloriously dated sentiments, moral grandeur, and enough old-timey reverence to make your bookshelf stand up and salute.

Expect glorified tales, questionable facts, and the faint smell of history—or mildew. Bound in aged dignity, this book is perfect for collectors, irony enthusiasts, and anyone who loves their history served with a side of mystery.

Condition: Old. Probably smells like a Civil War reenactment tent.
Crappy? Absolutely. But also kind of great.

Not 100% sure of date but other copies are dated 1892 as first editions. Good copy although the inner front cover is showing the spine cloth, but its not structural, all it needs is some archival grade paper glued over the top. The book block binding is perfect.
